Dear Sir,

How disappointed I am that Ryomaden is not being shown on Channel 26 in the Bay Area. I have been watching the historical dramas for about 10 years, beginning with the Tokugawa Regine, and this program quickly became my favorite program on television.

I am a docent at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, and have found these programs enriching and important in developing my background. In addition, I have encouraged other docents to watch the various series as well, and they too have found them very helpful.

I so hope you will reconsider and air this present series, as well as all future historical series.

Sincerely,

Carolyn J. Young

KTSF has confirmed that Fuji TV won't be airing a Japanese NHK Taiga drama in the Bay Area in 2010!

Sign this petition to bring it back!: http://www.change.org/actions/view/bring_back_nhk_taiga_dramas_to_ktsf

Apparently, ratings and ad revenue have been declining and NHK has raised their broadcast prices. This is a shame, since Fuji TV has been showing these these gripping, entertaining dramas to Northern California viewers for over 30 years. In recent years, viewers have enjoyed Tenchijin, Atsuhime, and Fuurin Kazan. Many viewers were looking forward to this year's drama, "Ryoma den," about Ryoma Sakamoto, one of the most dynamic samurais at the time of the Meiji Restoration.

If you like Taiga dramas and want Fuji TV to bring them back to KTSF, please sign this petition. A copy of the petition goes to Fuji TV, KTSF, the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco, and government representatives in the KTSF broadcast area.

BRING BACK TAIGA DRAMAS TO KTSF! Thank you for your support!!
